15 Ways the Enemy is Stealing Your Trials From You

"I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

15 Ways the Enemy is Stealing Your Trials From You

And what to do about it!

There is so much we can gain and learn from our trials! In fact, when we truly see what a blessing our trials are they become easy and light; walking through them with the Holy Spirit! We find that even in our trials the Holy Spirit enables us to walk through them with a fullness, even to overflowing, of love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control! It all comes from the power of the Holy Trinity; in full surrender to God! Presented here are 15 ways the enemy is stealing your trials from you:

1) 2 Peter 3:1-9
Beloved, I now write to you this second epistle (in both of which I stir up your pure minds by way of reminder), 2 that you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us, the apostles of the Lord and Savior, 3 knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, 4 and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.” 5 For this they willfully forget: that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of water and in the water, 6 by which the world that then existed perished, being flooded with water. 7 But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men. 8 But, beloved, do not forget this one thing, that with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day. 9 The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.

The Lord encourages us to take joy in our trials, for with faith and perseverance we lack nothing! For we will have the faith for God to move, and the patience to allow Him to! The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, so every trial is a chance to overcome for the sake of repentance, so God can release the fullness of His blessings and goodness into our lives and come back as soon as possible!

2) Luke 1:34-37
Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?” 35 And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God. 36 Now indeed, Elizabeth your relative has also conceived a son in her old age; and this is now the sixth month for her who was called barren. 37 For with God nothing will be impossible.”

Take joy, brethren (when facing impossible situations) for God will move greatly in situations that look impossible and for us ARE impossible! And not only that, but He will be glorified that much more when it looked/was imposible and He came through as well!

3) Deuteronomy 31:1-6
Then Moses went and spoke these words to all Israel. 2 And he said to them: “I am one hundred and twenty years old today. I can no longer go out and come in. Also the Lord has said to me, ‘You shall not cross over this Jordan.’ 3 The Lord your God Himself crosses over before you; He will destroy these nations from before you, and you shall dispossess them. Joshua himself crosses over before you, just as the Lord has said. 4 And the Lord will do to them as He did to Sihon and Og, the kings of the Amorites and their land, when He destroyed them. 5 The Lord will give them over to you, that you may do to them according to every commandment which I have commanded you. 6 Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the Lord your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”

How we react in our trials should be a great testimony to WHO our God is, especially to the unbeliever!

4) James 1:1 -8
James, a bondservant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ,

To the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad:

Greetings.

2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 4 But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 6 But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 7 For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 8 he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

Being double-minded through your trials can literally allow the enemy to steal the blessing the Lord had for you! (Keep in mind that being double minded is different than being tempted and resisting the temptation by submitting to God, in faith.)

5) Luke 6:27
…and pray for those who despitefully use you.

If the Lord commands us to pray for those who despitefully use us, we can definitely except to be despitefully used for His glory and for His will to be accomplished! Therefore, pray for those who despitefully use you!

6) Luke 6:26
But I say unto you who hear, Love your enemies, do good to them who hate you,

Similarly, if the Lord commands us to do good to our enemies we can expect that we will be called to aid our enemies and do good to those who hate us for His will to be accomplished in their and/or our lives and for His glory! Therefore, do so joyously, for doing so will heap coals of fire on their head, (a saying that comes from a custom of giving coals to your neighbor so they can restoke their fire, coals that they would carry home in a conatiner on their head); a symbol of the love of God melting hardened hearts.

7) Luke 6:27
bless those that curse you…

Similarly, we can deduct that when we follow the will of our Lord there will be those who curse us. And Luke 6:26 warns: Woe to you when all men speak well of you, for so did their fathers to the false prophets, therefore bless those that curse you.

8) Matthew 5:46
For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Do not even the tax collectors do the same?

There is great blessing in loving those who do not love you, unconditionally, while following the will of God; from people being saved by that overwhelming unconditional love of God flowing from you, to the Lord blessing you for being persecuted for righteousness, this is key and core to the belief in Christ and the Christian walk!

9) Matthew 5:1
And seeing the multitudes, He went up on a mountain, and when He was seated His disciples came to Him. 2 Then He opened His mouth and taught them, saying: 3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.

The pour in spirit have a knowing that they can do nothing outside of God. Therefore they run to God for their every word and action, for their every decision; presenting their bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God! By the mercy of God; losing their life for Jesus’ sake they find Jesus' life (here and into the eternal) for them!

10) Matthew 5:4
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.

Knowing the truth of the universe brings unmeasurable joy, and also unmeasurable sadness; mourning the lost souls around us, but as we become the light of the world that we are called to be by the power of God, and following Jesus, these souls will be drawn Home and the Messiah shall reign in their hearts and lives; keep faith!

11) Matthew 5:5
Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the Earth.

Another way to say this, is: Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the Earth, and although it’s not always easy, being gentle through trials and confrontation with others will speak volumes to our Lord and Savior who dwells in us!

12) Matthew 5:6
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.

You are no longer a captive of sin when you hate your sin, for this is the first step in attaining freedom from that sin; learn self-deliverance, learn to resist the devil, and most importantly learn how to submit to God and follow Him all day, every day through discerning His voice and praying without ceasing (and prayer IS a two-way conversation)!

13) Matthew 5:7
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy. 8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

The more I study the ways of the Lord, the more I realize that one of the most dangerous and harmful states to be living in is unforgiveness; forgive for your own sake, forgive because God loves the person who hurt you, forgive because you have been forgiven by your Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! And of course, ask God for help with this as well!

14) Matthew 5:9
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.

Follow God’s will; say what He would have you to say, do what He would have you to do, and He will bring peace into your relationships, for He promises, “When a man’s ways please the Lord, He makes even his enemies to be at peace with him,” in Proverbs 16:7.

15) Matthew 5:10
Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. 12 Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in Heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

Paul rejoiced and praised his Lord Jesus when he was locked up in prison and the Spirit of God fell on that prison so much so that the prisoners did not even want to leave when the locks flew off the prison doors and the doors swung open! That's AWESOME! So too can we carry the presence of God within us, allowing the Lord to work all things for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose!

  1. Daniel Quartararo
A disciple of Jesus Christ, Christ being the Word of God, the Son of God, the Lamb of God, the Redeemer, the Teacher, the Rock, the Fortress; all things LOVE!!! I rejoice that my name is written in the Lamb's Book of Life! I look forward to be called a good and faithful servant by my Father in Heaven! As I say, "Jesus Christ came to be the example, not the exception." For Jesus came to show us how to have a relationship with our Father and we are called to be "imitators of God." (Ephesians 5:1) I love, spread the gospel, and walk in the power of the Holy Spirit. Like Paul, I do not come to you with persuasive words but in a demonstration of the Spirit's power! I take full surrender to our Father's will with deep reverence and respect by discerning the Lord's voice and following what He asks, moment by moment, all day, every day. I am called to equip others to walk in faithfulness just the same! That is the heart of this ministry; faithfulness to Christ, in Christ, in love!

Music
Music written from visions of music notation from the Lord, discerning the Lord's voice for the lyrics, and hearing the Lord literally sing the melodies to my heart; in my mind, this album far exceeded my expectations of how God would ever work with me or any of us! It was humbling and beautiful! This album is something I never could have written myself! It far exceeds anything I wrote in the world instrumentally, lyrically, and vocally. A unique style of music I cannot classify; it is music I have not heard before. The surrender to the Lord's hand in this album is evident! In the words of the Lord, "it will change lives for the better!"
